Monash Children's Hospital School.

Abstract

Monash Children’s Hospital School was established to provide education for children who are inpatients and/or outpatients of Monash Children’s Hospital. The need for continuity of learning for patients at MCH became more acute as the pandemic evolved. Throughout the pandemic, patient numbers, especially in the adolescent cohort, increased and the demand for education input intensified. Feedback from patients, parents, schools and clinical leadership indicated that school needed to be a priority for our most vulnerable children.
